All too often we are frustrated by problems that seem to detour us from the path we thought we were pursuing. Success in business often comes down to being open to new possibilities — directions that may be widely variant from where you thought you were headed.
The important thing is to be moving forward, but as human beings, too often we cling to “the way we’ve always done things” and limit our own possibilities.
There are many ways to say this, but today, I like David Livingston’s take:
“I will go anywhere, provided it be forward.”
(David Livingstone was a Scottish Congregationalist pioneer medical missionary
with the London Missionary Society and an explorer in Africa.)
